Ja, haben wir denn schon 1995?
In Köln gibt es eine große Buchhandlung, die Mayersche. Und diese hat jetzt auch eine App.
Tut mir leid. Diese App ist ungefähr so nützlich wie eine Spiele-CD-Rom von 1994. Damals herrschte das Paradigma des Entdeckens. Erst mal verstecken, soviel es geht. Erst auf Klick eröffnen sich (beschränkte) Möglichkeiten: 1. Warum funktioniert sie nur im Querformat? Ich möchte vielleicht auch mal mit einer Hand blättern.2. Wieso muss ich erst eines der Regale (tolle Idee) antippen, um zu sehen, was dahinter ist? Ach, das rote ist "Mein Regal". Ich will lesen, nicht rätseln!
3. Warum sind die Bücher ausschließlich auf winzigen Regalen angeordnet zu sehen. Warum gibt es nicht einfach Listen mit Büchern? (gucken Sie sich mal Apples App Store an.)
4. Ach, und wenn ich Details zu einem Buch sehen will, wird mir die Mayersche Website in der App angezeigt. Super.
5. Die Leseproben sind, naja, PDFs der Verlage, die ich auch horizontal lesen muss.
Aber es gibt noch Rettung. Wenn das iPad kommt, passt vielleicht auch das Format mit den Regalen wieder (3). Aber dann gibt es auch genug iBooks und andere Stores, die mehr Spaß machen werden.

Restaurant website: I require Flash. Fuck off.
Me: I just want to know how late you’re open.
Website: Nope.
Me: But I’m on my phone. Don’t you have a little “HTML Version” link up in the corner or something?
Website: I’m ignoring you.
Me: What if I’m on my phone because I’m out, looking for a place to eat? Didn’t that ever occur to you?
Website: Fuck entirely off.
Me: (gives up, switches to computer)

Oh yes, this is exactly what happens, when you are visiting restaurant sites. Only hotels are worse.
The reason is, that ALL restaurant and hotel owners have friends, that are flash designers.

Apple, please fix this
Apples Produkte sind größtenteils toll. Aber manches nervt einfach. Statt das einfach hinzunehmen, kann man sich auch drei Minuten Zeit nehmen, und Apple das sagen.
Apple hat dazu eine wunderschöne Feedbackseite. Sie erreichen sie unter http://www.apple.com/feedback/. Leider nur auf Englisch. Aber ich denke, Sie können da auch in deutscher Sprache reinschreiben. Es wird doch jemanden geben, der das übersetzen kann.
The Annotation features in Leopard worked well. There were Icons in the Toolbar that showed Notes or Drawing Tools. If an Icon was active, you saw it.
If you click "Annotate" in Preview.app in Snow Leopard, apparently nothing happens. The Feedback is too subtle. It took me a long time to recognize the tiny toolbar that appeared at the foot of the Window. The Point of Action (click the icon) and the feedback (Toolbar appears) are just too far apart. It's hard to recognize on a 13" MacBook but the larger the screen gets, the harder it gets. it gets worse, the larger the screen gets.Could you please fix this? Maybe an Inspector window would work. I am sure, you'll find a way. Thanks in advance Hans
